Find the page written for your situation.
The method is the same for everyone. What changes from one profile to the next is where the record lives, who reads it, and what may be published. Each page below answers one question: is this approach right for a profile like mine?
These pages do not describe separate services. There are two engagements, one for a person and one for an organization, set out in reputation and authority for leaders and reputation and authority for organizations. Each page here takes one profile and goes further into it: what is specific to its record, which problems can appear, where the approach fits and where it does not.
When the subject is a person
- Founders and CEOs Your name is read as evidence about the company, and the two records are hard to separate.
- Executives and board members Your record is spread across several employers, and most of it is not yours to edit.
- Investors and family offices You are checked by the people you want to work with, and you may prefer to stay discreet.
- Experts and advisors Your authority is real in practice and thin in the sources, often because the work is confidential.
When the subject is an organization
- Professional-services firms Firm, partners and practices are three records that have to support one another.
- Institutions A public mandate, a long record, several languages and many sites.
Public figures
People in public, institutional, cultural, academic or sporting life have a page of their own outside this index: reputation management for public figures. It answers the same question for a record that is written mostly by third parties.
How to use these pages
Choose by the record, not by the title. A founder who sits on three boards may recognize more of the situation in the page for board members; a firm built around one name may be closer to the page for founders. The page for investors covers the firm as well as its principals. Where two pages apply, each says which related profile to read.
If what brings you here is a symptom, an answer that is wrong or one that leaves you out, start from Problems. If the question is how the work is done, it is described layer by layer in The Authority Architecture System. When the situation is clear enough to be examined, a private assessment is the starting point for every profile. Related analyses are collected in Insights.
